dc.description.abstractIn 1845, just after Florida became the 27th US state, institutions of higher learning began develop, and the relationship between these state colleges and universities are intertwined, as are the archives that tell their stories. With a focus on materials related to individual institutional development, Schaad speaks to the connectedness of Florida Southern College, founded in 1885, with the University of Florida, Florida State University, Rollins College, and Stetson University.
